About Us
Our Story
Foundry was founded in 2001 under the name Pacific Restaurant Supply. Beginning as a traditional equipment dealership, we became the local mainstay for hospitality entrepreneurs looking for service they were not getting elsewhere. Our business has always been about these relationships. In fact our clients were the inspiration behind starting a design house within the walls of our first showroom. As we began designing more and more commercial kitchens, the issue then became consistent access to quality custom stainless. This led us to acquire 304 innovations – a local fabrication shop in Port Coquitlam, BC. We expanded the design and fabrication divisions alongside developing innovative project management processes to provide our clients with consistent execution. We decided to cease selling smallwares and tabletop products in 2020 to shift our focus from supplies and devote our energy to commercial kitchen projects. In celebrating our 20 year anniversary, we re-branded in 2021 to Foundry Commercial Kitchens. Allowing us to fully embrace our passion for concept to complete high performance kitchens.
Our Purpose
We believe in forging together bold ideas, good food and great people.
Bold Ideas
We share amongst ourselves and with each of our clients an innate passion for the work we do, and the goals we want to realize. We recognize it takes boldness, grit, guts and perseverance to bring ambitions to life, and spearhead what it takes to make them happen. We truly understand and celebrate those who are bold enough to reach their goals, whatever they are. So we bring our adventurous thinking and problem-solving to the table. We are the catalyst that has the understanding to interpret, the skills to realize, and the competitive drive to exceed ambitions.
Good Food
We’re enthusiastically engaged with the entire industry, so naturally, food is at the heart of our culture. Both in and outside of our workplace. Food nourishes us in so many ways. It’s fuel, sure, but beyond needing it to survive, it’s a creative expression and exploration that engages every one of our senses. We love food when it is comforting and nostalgic as much as when it’s unexpected or experimental. This means we’re eager to set up kitchens and chefs to imagine, create and serve great food of all kinds that brings us together and bonds us.
Great People
We don’t just have client contracts or employees — we take the time to nurture true partnerships with outstanding people, which then become friendships and familial bonds. This comes naturally to us, because we’re truly passionate about “our people”. We spend the time to truly understand them and are inspired by their goals and ambitions. We’re connected with them through our shared devotion to creating something of real value that others can appreciate. We channel our mutual passion into making things that are remarkable and seeing them take off.
Our Team
We are a collection of foodservice professionals passionate about creative concept solutions. From designers, to fabricators to project coordinators. Each team member brings immense value to our process. We are united by the pursuit to help our customers open their doors and create inspiring culinary experiences.
